Your Door of Opportunity?

Hugh Blog

"See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland" Isaiah 43:19

What kinds of emotions do you experience when a new opportunity is offered to you? Excitement? Apprehension, am I up to it? Hopes for a better future? Healing and renewal? Are your dreams about to come true?

You already have a range of skills and experience that enable you to make the most of this opportunity. You will need to up-skill and gain new resources to achieve your goals. What opportunities for personal and corporate growth are you anticipating? What challenges do you face in these areas? How will you meet the portentous challenges of increasing inflation? How will you grow the resilience you need to cope with unpredictable unknowns, including the global impacts of international events like the ongoing Ukraine crisis?

‘Some things I can change, some I can’t. Give me the wisdom and will to know the difference’. A useful prayer?

Daily personal growth via prayer and Bible study is food for our souls. Corporate growth at HTR, needed for our survival and success, comes in our fellowship times including life groups and Sunday services etc. The pandemic lockdown times imprisoned us in our homes. The image shows an open prison door. You have to walk through it to grab new, exciting opportunities.

“It may be hard for an egg to turn into a bird: it would be a jolly sight harder for a bird to learn to fly while remaining an egg. We are like eggs at present. And you cannot go on indefinitely being just an ordinary, decent egg. We must be hatched or go bad.” C.S. Lewis, Mere Christianity.
