Marriage Course

marriagecourseThe Marriage Course aims to help couples grow closer and build a healthy relationship that will last for a lifetime. It’s designed for all couples, however long or short a time they’ve been together, and whether they feel they already have a strong relationship or are struggling. While the course is based on Christian principles, it’s designed for couples with or without a Christian faith. Many couples who aren’t churchgoers have commented that the Christian content was presented in a way that didn’t make them feel at all uncomfortable.

Holy Trinity runs this six week course periodically. Each evening starts at 1945 with coffee and dessert, followed by a talk on the theme for the evening. You will then spend the rest of the time talking with each other as a couple about things relating to the theme. During the course you will think and talk about building strong foundations, the art of communication, resolving conflict, the power of forgiveness, the impact of family, intimacy and love in action. Your discussion will be private to you, and there won’t be any group work. While there may be some homework to do, to help you build on what you’ve learnt and to give you the opportunity to apply it to your relationship, no-one else will see it and it’s just for your benefit.

I think The Marriage Course is probably the best investment you can make in your relationship - it was for us. It has helped us break down the barriers that steadily build up over time. Our marriage feels fresh again.

Our Spring 2016 course is being led by Kate and Alwyn Webb and takes place on Thursday evenings from 21 April. If you would like to join in or find out more, then please e-mail us.
