2015 and beyond

opendoor2015 Vision priorities

We believe God is calling us to

*   Greater expectation of His POWER
*   Greater commitment to ONE ANOTHER

Some specific dreams

200 on team! We hope each of us will discover the part we can play in serving God and building one another up

  • Refreshing Life Groups as a place for helping one another live for Jesus
  • A relaunched Evening Service to grow our ministry to youth and young adults
  • Develop Riverbank Trust as our community outreach arm and build fresh connections with Kick London
  • Plan towards a building project
  • Equip every member to reach out to others and use the natural and supernatural gifts given by God
  • A deepening prayer life for every one of us and a greater expectation of God’s transforming power in our lives.

2020 Vision

2020 will be a special year for our church as we celebrate our 150th anniversary!  Here are some highlights of our long-term vision:

  • Evangelism - to reach out to those around us, particularly those who can feel alienated from church: young people and men
  • Community - to build vibrant small groups, where worship, prayer, faith and service come alive, where new leaders can emerge and where young and old feel valued
  • A more visible presence - to acquire an additional location in the parish to extend our ministry with Riverbank Trust
  • Planting - to plant another church
  • Generosity - to increase our giving and build God’s kingdom here and abroad
  • Building - to repair our roof and stonework, to refresh  our facilities and to provide more space for all our activities
  • Prayer - To establish a 24/7 prayer room.
